Choosing the perfect moniker for your wee one on the way might involve more than just which name you like most. Many parents today are having baby name regret. My goal to is insure you are not one of those! Personally, I am a huge fan of original name spellings. While you think by switching a letter or two here and there will make the name more personalized to you, it's a decision many regret later. Your child will now have to go through life constantly correcting people on their name spelling. And by constantly, I mean CONSTANTLY! On average, you will have to correct the same person 5 times before they remember your unique spelling, family included! All (once again let me stress this, ALL!) the adults I have met with a "unique" spelling wish their parents had gone with the traditional spelling. I have also noticed parents with children about age 7 and up, telling me they now wish they had stuck to the original spelling for their child. Think, think, think! All the different spellings out there are leading to a lot of confusion, constant correcting and annoyance. Make sure you are absolute on the name spelling; your little baby will carry it for a lifetime.
Now let's just get right down to business and find your tyke a great "Southern" style name!
